well I really wish that i could of taken more pictures but I was always busy truckin or just forgot th camera... Harvest went well i could say, we had 4 combine fires, 2 roasted belts, and plugged 2 times... good thing we have 4 JD dealers within an hour of here .... so far it has snowed ( i know i shouldnt swear) but we havent turned a wheel in over 2 weeks because of the weather.... but the "indian" says that November is suposed to be the month... well i hope he is right.... I better shut up and let you guys see the pics
We have filled all the bins we can, so we put 20000 bushels of wheat on the ground... 10000 in a ring and the other 10000 on the ground
We were very impressed with the BPA of our spring wheat, it ran 50 - 70 in some places
My Grandpa being 76 years old is still going strong and was able to help out a couple 3 - 4 weeks lol, mostly swathing, but we did get him runnin the new machine so dad could get some after harvest burn off on some lentil ground... got to love AIM COMAND and ez steer
And this has to be my favorite picture of all harvest, it was about 8AM and the sun was peakin through the trees and the machines were lined up ready to role and a snapped this pic
And this is for Tomas, he reall wanted to see a pictur of my "office" so i grabbed one of the cab of the tandem... and yes I was reading the Tractor House magazine to pass the time between hoppers.... the tandem can be loaded with 600 bushel so we can go with 2 hoppers of the combine... well two 3/4 full hoppers
I hope we can get roling again soon as we still have 1100 acres out there
