Here is how we do squash or zucchini. Thought I would share this to go along with the orange/grape fruit operation I found in Florida. Here is the tractor and immigrant workers out picking the squash: The full squash trailer is taken to the Squash House. This is a small building set up to process the squash. The full buckets are placed inside to be processed: Here is the boxes that will be taken to market: The squash is dumped into large vats full of soapy water: Here they are washed before they are boxed: Here is how they sort the sizes out. Number 1s are the smallest and brings the better price. Number 2s are the larger, but don't bring a premium price. Here they are boxed up and ready for market: Hope you guys learned something and enjoy. Now you know how your squash comes from farm to market.

Thanks for posting. That was interesting. I have never seen that done other than in your journals.

Thanks for posting. That was interesting. I have never seen that done other than in your journals. I try to replicate this in my journals using what I have. I am trying to figure out how melons are planted. I need to visit the produce farm again. They do a good sized patch of melons. I need to look over their planter. Gives me an idea for something.
