Nice pics. This fall harvest has been a difficult one for sure. There are guys that are still trying to pick corn here and we are supposed to get a heck of a snow tomorrow.

There still is a good amount of corn in the area too. Your snowstorm is bringing us lots of cold weather and a little bit of snow. As long as we don't get much snow I think corn harvest will go on all winter.

If you can chisel plow with a 2wd tractor it isn't wet. LOL That is a very well kept 9700. No rust at all. Was nice to see the corner of that round hood again.
That field looks a lot dryer than most of what we've done so far. You should feel lucky this year! Been a long fall and it is only half over.

Thanks for sharing the photo's. I've been hearing that all of fall harvest up there was tough, between rains, etc. Here in Texas we didn't get any rain of any amount since planting time, & what was there to harvest, had to be done between rains. I'll sure be glad to put '09 behind me..EVK

Good to see you here Warren. This forum needs some more blue paint on it . The 9700 is a nice tractor. It was a one owner tractor that we bought last year at an auction. When we got it had a little over 8800 hours on it. We've put about 500 hours on it. Our TW-10 was pushing 12,000 hours and needed some work, so that one was retired to lighter jobs and 9700 is the heavy puller. It's amazing how much power the addition of a turbo makes.

mnjosh looking at your pictures you were a lot drier than we were. The 5+ inches of snow we had really screwed things up when it melted. We thought that we would have to leave the chiseling till spring. It had frozen enough to chisel real nice. We finished chiseling on Thanksgiving Day. It had frozen enough to chisel real nice. Did finish combining the soybeans before the snow came tho. Always forgot to take the camera with. Could have finished chiseling earlier but the tractor had to go to the JD shop in Ada. Unfortunately it has to go back to get it fixed being it has the same problem. Lots of corn left around here being it’s 30%+

The biggest problem was the surface was so greasy and it would stick to everything. We have 20 acres of 30%+ corn with low test weight. We are waiting for the insurance adjuster to come out now.
