I really like the smaller display and the amazing detail. I have been considering making a series of smaller displays because I have to move a lot. And I am impressed with yours. Is that the rolls of bricks from Wal-Mart for the Christmas displays? Thanks Chad

Wow thats a nice dispaly, whats the trick to the house. Is it just another house cut in half or do you buy kits? It's actually an S scale Rail King house all prebuilt for about $30.00. I really like the smaller display and the amazing detail. I have been considering making a series of smaller displays because I have to move a lot. And I am impressed with yours. Is that the rolls of bricks from Wal-Mart for the Christmas displays? Thanks Chad Thanks Chad. I like building smaller displays for many reasons. When you work with a smaller area you can add alot of detail to try to make seem like its bigger(I don't enjoy looking at a huge farm layout with just buildings on), you save time, money, and space. With a display this size you get the point across with out going over board......pretty sure everyone kind of figured it was a small family owned beef farm, didn't need an 8x8 display for that. You can always add on to the display, fields, buildings ect given space. You can always build a display like this and have them on some sort of shelf to save space. Yes you are correct that the Lemax brick sidewalk. I find many items around the holidays such as the sidewalks, trees, and some lights that fit well into the display and are cheaper than buying at a hobby store. very nice display. you build the most detailed display i have seen Thanks, but I've seen some displays on here and at Nationals that put mine to shame. Nice. I always enjoy seeing your displays. It is good to hear from you again. I like the rusty old G John Deere in the weeds. I see the pyro lady is at it again burning leaves. ;D ;D ;D ;D Thanks I'm happy to see that you a lot of other familar "faces" made it here from Toy Talk. Yup that lady made onto this display with a couple more items. That scene is always a hit at toyshows.........just seems like each display the burning leaf pile gets closer to the house lol

It was in the S scale section of the hobby catolage. This house doesn't match up to the Ertl buildings though. From what I was told Ertl buildings aren't true 1:64 scale they were made bigger so kids can fit their hands through them. I'm not sure if this helps at all.

was that perhaps the walthers catalog? sorry for the 20 questions! Yes it was. It was the store editon though so it was the super thick one, not the small cataloge..........i'm sure you could find it in there too. Not a problem, don't know unless you ask.
