On December 3rd we wrapped up the best corn harvest in the farm's history. This was a phenominal year for corn. Dryland corn ran from 150 to 225 bpa. Which is just amazing for this area. It was challenging to get out of the fields but we got it done. The farm is seriously considering a large dryer for it's storage facility after the last 2 years of challenging fall harvests. There was snow looming in the forcast so the combines came home and we cleaned up in a hurry so they could get put away. They were blown down and washed up and then greased. Minkler Harvesting finished their last field of corn on the 2nd. I told them to take them to the shop and start cleaning them up. Here they are after they pulled in the yard. Here is the shop full of combines. After the oldest 8010 was done we took it out to put headers away. Backing the flex heads in. We also had the rippers running in some of the field that we tracked up while it was muddy. The next project was to start packing the big shed full for the winter. This takes some strategic planning because we don't like to waste space or make high dollar equipment sit outside. After a day of wiggling and careful parking the shed is crammed for the winter. After the combines were done the grain carts were washed and put away. Here is the 4955 backing the Frontier in. The snow showed up on December 6th. There will be more on that in part 2. Questions and comments welcome.

They are made from foamboard from hobby lobby. It is cheap and easy to work with.

If you can pack all that stuff in there in one day your quick workers! It took us the better part of 4 hours to pack 2 headers, a grain cart, and a water wagon into the neighbors shed. Then again it took 2 hours to jump start the spra-coupe so we could move the thing Looks good, now where are you going to park the 2 volvos with end dumps

Most of the trucks get to stay outside since they run everyday. We put a bunch of the crew on the shed parking project so it went faster.

They stick out into the middle if you don't unfold them. That way they don't get hit by something that is coming in and out of the shed.
