Well I bought this set yesterday at a toy show and I must say I am impressed with the trailers. The lowboy especially. This set consisted of 3 different parts. The heavy haul semi (traded it off already), A lowboy with removeable parts, and a rear trailer. The lowboy has a part that sits on the bed and has a 5th wheel hitch which holds a cradle for a beam. It also has a removeable cover that goes over the wheels on the back to allow the other trailer to sit on top of it. The rear trailer is probably the most detailed of the 3. Is has a hydraulically controlled tongue that pivots up and down, it also has 2 independent groups of pivoting axles also hydraulically controlled. In all, the only thing I dont like about this set is the cheap plastic wood decking that DCP used on the lowboy. But they made it easily removeable so I will be replacing it with some decent stuff. They made the out riggers fold out which is nice, I plan on getting some planks for them as well. For $75 you cant go wrong on this set, there seems to be a lot of people interested in buying the extra trailer and parts. I probably got ripped off when I traded the Triple axle pete for a regular old W900 kenworth but I like the looks of the kenworth much, much better.

I have the lefebvre, very nice indeed. I will be getting a yellow one soon for a customer's custom. Only thing I wasnt happy about is it didnt come with the beam, because Lefebvre has a hold on the beam load for a year I guess....... also Austin, if your ever interested, Im working on a single flip, single and tandem booster, and tandem axle jeep for the new lowboys. The flip prototype is almost done.

I wont be adding any extra axles to this one, I hope to get it and a landoll tilt trailer decaled up as some of the local dealers semis for my future display. Those 2 are close to what they run... with an extra axle.

Are they planning on selling the lowboy by itself with a truck?

Are they planning on selling the lowboy by itself with a truck? Eventually it will happen, DCP was sounding like that they were thinking of doing a jeep and booster for it also. I have a feeling that why it had the dolly but without the load was because of a agreemant with Lefebvre (biggest painin a a$$ company with new castings etc....) Sean

Sean I paid $75 for the set, traded off truck for a different one ($30 value), traded off all the accessories except for lowboy, spare parts, and rack that goes above rear axle on lowboy ($30 value) so you could basically get this lowboy for $15 if you are willing to take the time to part it out.

IF your gettin 30 dollars for the headache rack and fenders someone is crazy! LOL.........thats no more than a 15 dollar value, I can get reg. headache racks and cabinets for 4 dollars each and really no one wants them because of the setup, th eonly company that really runs them is Lefebvre......
