Taylor Farms : February Journal

We have been hauling soybeans out filling contracts. All of our beans go to Quincy soybean in Quincy IL. Its so nice living this close to the river. We also have some soybeans to take in to Monroe City to fill our contracts with Farmers Elevator as thats where all of our feed comes from for our finishers and gestation sows. We use the grain cart as some what of a holding bin so we have 600 bushels ready to go as soon as the truck gets back. It normally takes about an hour if there isnt much of a line.





We took delivery of our new Patriot 150 today also. Deere engine, raven controller, 75 foot booms. Very nice! The big thing is the clearance over the pickup sprayer. That and the comfort lol We set up the truck 2 years ago. its an F450 with an RSH boom. It went on auction and sold to a feller down in KY















We also have been getting our fertilizer applicator/strip till machine ready to go. We sat it up last summer to lay down dry fertilizer and spring burn down in the river bottoms.
