Around the county there has been alot of farmers cutting down trees. I think it has something to do with a new tax, that will tax farmers on wooded land that could be tillable. I don't know if this is right but it is mainly in Hennipen county MN, or it could be for the whole state of Minnesota. If you know any more info I would like to know what is up.

I don't remember all of the details as this happened last year. In Minnesota they changed what is called "green acres" are taxed because building contractors (specifically those in the Twin Cities area) were abusing this tax. These changes had unintended consequences to out state agriculture property that truly qualified as green acres. Now I think they did modified some of those changes that they previously made. I hope that kinda made sense.
