Air seeder action pictures/ 40ft Bourgault

Howdy,
Well its been a long time coming, about a year in fact.....
But this Canadian is finally back out in the fields! Kind of odd hear about some guys making hay already when some of us up here are either just getting seeding or just finishing
Anyways... as some may remember- we picked up a revolutionary new seeding tool, (to us anyways). 40ft bourgault seeder /w 230bu tow behind air cart.
Beats going round and round using ancient box drills.
So far: the fact that we can cover about 120 acres in a easy day at least and fill it effortlessly have proved to be the biggest advantages.
The true test will come when the seed pokes out of the ground.

Anyways, the moment ya'll been waiting for, pictures of the complete rig:


I guess I'll start off with some of the real nice shots:

Deep banding Nitorgen into oats stubble, and a field of barley stubble. Took these pics- then got rained out

Still in the oats stubble, going to be putting it back into oats again. but the first pass into the stubble is just to put down straight nitrogen, then we come in after and put the seed down on the second pass.











stopped by the rain thats already hitting the ground, and by the looks of that sky, it won't get any better any time soon







In this one particualr field, right along the highway, you see it all:




I still can't get over how well of a straight pass I can make with just a lightbar!

Getting it ready to go in the brisk early hours:



And were off, into some summerfallow, to put down the Nitrogen. Then canola going in after.

Next day, starting on a field of canola stubble

This previous canola field is planned to go into wheat. So we do the same routine, one pass for N then go over it again with the seed.



The new tips seem to be doing their job well





















the rows just keep getting straighter and straighter





Very handy: Being able to unload leftover materials out of the tanks with the same auger

The only space big enough to get from one field to the next, road/bridge linking the two together is umm... kind if small....

What model John Deere are you pulling on, I could never catch a good glmpse of the model #. Is That mini truck in the last pic is it stuck on the hill?

I dont think its stuck there i think they just parked it. I also dont think that is a new holland... my guess is that it is an older ford or versatile.

Lol. no guys..... I believe the mini truck is just parked like that. You know..... so the oil all drains to one side and your camshaft runs dry..... haha

Nice pics Jdeere, that is a nice lookin upgrade you made with the air seeder. I am also surprised to see you starting to do some no-till? That air seeder looks like its doing a perfect job for that.
