I got to ride the biggest claas chopper claas makes. 12 row corn head. we were cruisen doing 4-5 mph. twin mercadies motors crankin out 860Hp. thing was pretty dang cool i think. This was a custom outfit from WI. Here is a link to a mivie of there outfit. I was not at this one but this is what they were running the day I rode. Minus one chopper they only had the big one with the 12 row where i was.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GonvFG3lOsw. check it out its pretty cool.

We dont have any Deere sp choppers round here, not really even any pull types. For SP 1 farm has a old NH. We have a custom crew with 1 Claas chopper. Where my grandpa works at sells Krone and theyve sold some Big X's there.

the 980 is a heck of a chopper. but we've had nothin but trouble with the one we haul with. The darn thing is only on its 2yr and is broke down all the time. This yr has been alittle better than last yr but not much. the same guy had an 880 with close to 10,000 hrs and that thing ran as good when he traded it as the day it rolled off the line. I used to think the same thing about the deeres but when they got behind in Tx last week they called in back up and they had a 7750 deere that was runnin circles around the 900, dont think it can out do the 980 but it would be awfull close. they ran across the road from a Krone 1000 last yr and dad said there isnt anything that could keep up with that Krone though. lol.
