Awesome thought steiger9330 again, does someone know someone on the "inside" to send these ideas to them? Ertl is doing a good job but I would like to see or hear some involvement from them with us, "the community" since we are buying their stuff...
Just a thought

I think i speek for all of the northren plains when i say they should make: 1) Air seeders that ARENT John Deere such as bourgault, flexicoil etc. 2) Harrows (bourgault, degelman etc.) 3) Stone pickers (degelman) And numerous other people when i say: 4) Older Case and International combines such as 1460 1660 1688 etc. 5) AUGERS (swing such as farm king) AMEN! but you should also add bi-directional tractors with adapters for draper heads, Macdon swathers and headers, and wheelboom sprayers, rollers, and combine adapters for draper heads, Better loader tractors (better loaders!) AND MORE AUTHENTICS!!

I agree about the authentics. I would like to see a New Holland authentic for all of the New Holland fans. I always thought it would be cool if they had a header set that had only headers and it came with like maybe 12, 8, and 6 row heads, maybe a draper, a 20'-30' flex head and a pickup header.

thats a pretty good idea i wish that they would retool the older combines like the tr series and the older c-ih models such as the one steiger9330 has built like 1440 1460 1660 and on up and then do authentics on those...that would be nice

There are a lot of nice items brought up here and a lot of them are available just not produced by ertl or spec cast. There are only so many tooling dollars available in a year for each company and they can only produce what is licensed by the OEM. A lot of what you guys wants are regional items like pick up headers and other equipment. There are companys out there makin stuff like augers and other equipment, granted it will cost a little more because its not mass produced but its being made. If you don't like it make it yourself. Older tractors like the comfort kings are made by matsen miniatures. They're a little rough but good bases for being 30 year old castings. If you don't like the way it comes customize. You guys want all this equipment made and to be detailed but still for the price of a 90s magnum. Its not going to happen. The price of materials has gone up and so has labor. As for tractor w black cabs they came mostly from scale models who until further notice isn't producing anymore toys because of some bs law the government passed about paint and age grading

Pierce hit the nail on the head. Sadly its all about the dollars, but thats the way it is. I agree with Clayton too, farm toys have come a looooong ways in the last 15 yrs, much better in my opinion. I think ertl is doing a great job keeping up with all the new equipment thats coming out. And there are alot of good ideas listed here to though, I would love to see more of the the old white or brown cases, the 4wd anyways. The old school versitiles would be cool. The one I realy wish they would redo is the 14 series IH combines, theres alot of those around here. while there at it they could basicaly do the 1480,1680,1688 all out of the same casting. The same with the 2188,2388,2588. Some differant airseeders would be ok, deeres are the only ones around here, theres 1 IH that I can think of but a butt load of deeres. A bi directional Ford would be awesome, those things have been out forever, and theres quite a few around here. And can someone please build the Lexion combines, thats my wish for Christmas, lol, my scratch builds arent workin out the way I want. But the one thing I hope they dont give up on is the Stieger, we've gotten some awesome models out of them lately I just hope they dont quit now. We need the rest of the Panther and Cougar lines, the Lions and Tigers, and oh hell how bout the Bearcats and Pumas and the CP lines while were at it. Hey a boy can dream cant he?. lol. But all in all I think Ertl is doing a great job, My cudos to them, its so much more fun collecting these days as compared to 20 yrs ago.

Gentlemen
One thing to add, have you seen the 1/16 market, how many version of IH cub can they make? There is some money there it depends on the market. Despite that I believe tooling dollars maybe freed up for more new products soon. If you notice closely it appears ERTL might stop making the state series tractors. I have seen a lot of them go on clearance online and in the dealerships. Mr. 774630, you are absolutely right, collecting now is much more fun than 20 years ago.
