There is a Massey dealer about 15 minutes away but they sell VERY few tractors and most are around 50-90 horsepower. There's a Cat dealer 40 minutes away, I don't if you guys know them or not, they're called "Whayne Supply". They sell Challenger, Agco, Massey, and Caterpillar. They mainly cater to Kentucky. i know both dealers you speak of if im thinkin the same massey ferguson one i met the fella that owns it he come out to the farm with a fella we know a time or 2. i know whayne caterpillar is in louisville they are a good company. The massey dealer I was talking of was Chinn equipment, is that who you meant?

Funny thing is I thought the Jackson plant was at high production. Suprised theres any room. If I had to bet on anything, they probably will be partially built in France then finished off here in the U.S. The tractors in question are their high horsepower wheeled 8600 series MF and 600C Challenger. no from what i did understand every part eould be made in the us but the transmission and rear axel are premade from a diffrent company like the bigg factory and the engines are premade too

AGCO already has multiple locations to assemble the imported tractors, this new factory will be to actually build them from the ground up using parts from where ever. I still havnt decided if richenhagen (North American CEO of AGCO) has his head out of his @$$ or what but this looks like a positive step forward.
@ Connor, you say that AGCO's are to expensive so they arent sold in your area? Is this a fact or a rumor? When we bought our tractor 3 years ago it was about $40K cheaper than a comparable JD and $30K cheaper than a comparable CIH

Agco used to sell well in my area. Until they kept dropping brands, and the farmers had enough investing in a brand. And watch it drop years later. We do have a Massey dealer still around, however they don't sell well in my area. As most went to John Deere since it is a more stable brand. Which helps on resale and trade in values. As a Deere in my area holds value really well compared to Agco. Case IH is non existent in my area. New Holland is around. And Massey is last on the numbers sold. However with New Holland and Massey, both our dealers sell off-brand tractors far more in volume compared to the main brand they suppose to sell.
Gleaner used to be our number one combine. But having a lack of dealer for over a decade. You are starting to see a lot of John Deeres where used to be a Gleaner.
