Well it's been about a year or more since you last heard from me. I'm alive I just haven't had any time to put one together. On to pics.
The 2010 wheat harvest went well. We went as far as the dakotas to cut. Once again the 9870s worked like a charm and the new 8R did great on the grain cart. The new 387s performed well to.
The service truck arrived home late due to a blowout in Kansas.
Here we are giving the new 24 row planter a last look over and filling it with cotton seed.
Away it goes.
Then he needed more seed so I got the truck and trailer with pallets of seed.
After I got back we started looking over the chisel so we could start plowing wheat stubble.
Then we helped a neighbor dig some post holes for his corner posts on his fence.
Late fall
We started getting the air seeder and cotton picker ready for planting and cotton harvest.
The air seeder took up so much room at the shop we had to work on the picker in the driveway.
Going to pick.
Going to plant.
Then he called and needed some seed. So I got the ol' KW and went to fill the seeder.
With all the seed we needed used we hauled out the rest of what we didn't need. It was quick work with two trucks going.
Then we went and ripped some cotton ground.
Then we got all packed away for winter.
With the barn full we had to improvise on the shedding arrangments.
Then as it started getting cold, we were getting tired of borrowing the neighbors truck to feed the cows. So we found a 2nd Generation Dodge for sale in Kansas at Minkler Farms. We didn't want to go far but it was at a good price. So I got the truck and went to Kansas to pick up our new feed truck.
Going to feed some hungry cows.
Then we parked it at the shop so we could plug it in for some ealry morning feedings the next morning.
The farm after a year or so.
Big thanks to Mr. Minkler for the beautiful green truck. It will see plenty of use on the farm.
Thanks for looking. Questions, comments are welcome.
