We had a couple circles of failed corn this year. One of the circles was a double crop circle that we took a gamble on and lost. We just ran out of water on it. The other circle had the water but we just couldn't pump it on fast enough and it flat out didn't pollinate. We baled the double-crop circle and chopped the full-season. Both circles have had compaction issues in the past and we figured with the little extra time we have at the moment, we'd rip them. I got the 9330 hooked up to the orthman 11 shank. Dad wanted to pull a packer behind so we could maybe try to keep some moisture in the ground. I had to build a hitch to pull it. Circle #1. Full season that got chopped. It was the hardest of the two. Fun to mess with the autosteer... From the top of the pivot Pee Break! Wide Open... Circle #2. Swathed it off low and baled it. It was easy ripping I thought... 12:30 A.M. I think we're gonna run the fallowmaster over all this before wheat. I should have some more pics next week though as I'll be demoing a new Sunflower Vertical Tillage Tool on some dryland this week. Thanks Guys! Trey

Excellent pics. Does that 11 shank ripper work that 9330? or does it even know there's something back there. Ripping ground is not a common practice around here.

Looks nice, thanks for those pics. Only time now I see tillage action is on sites like this.

Its an 8 tower pivot. Covers the quarter section. The 9330 struggled in hard areas. She just doesn't have the weight to get all her power to the ground. Trey

Well it all depends on how long your towers are. We have 8 tower pivots on all our hillier ground and 7 tower pivots on all our flat stuff. They are all roughly a 1/4 mile long though. Trey

Great pictures Trey, sorry to hear about the failed corn though. What was on the double crop field before corn?

It was double crop after wheat. The corn hadn't tassled yet when we swathed it. Trey

What happened to the GreenStar in the last picture? I like to run that late at night but it sure makes the wife mad when I don't come home until after midnight
