We start on high moisture corn for a dairy farmer this weekend. Anyone else gonna start soon on chopping or high moisture corn

we started chopping on saturday and it was going reall good until today.we were trying to cut a circle that was still wet and i got my cutter stuck twice and i couldnt even count the semi pulls. our other cutter had a really bad day though, his spout fell off!!!

My neighbor was opening a field up when I was up at the other place for chores. He says they are gonna try to chop some today. They tried it middle of last week and it was too wet.

Most guys here are chopping, some people ended up losing thier crop this year to the hurricane.

One of our seed customers chopped a little corn yesterday. Dad said it looked too dry to be chopping.

Our dairies are done with silage cutting. We usually cut in August and try to wrap up around labor day weekend. Since by then corn starts to get yellow and dry for combine cutting.

Arouund here the seed corn has started a little silage if anyone needs some to feed otherwise i think itll be the end of the week early next week before anyone will cut silage we dont do high moisture corn anymore i wish we did though.

I cut our high moisture last week. the pig farm I work on will be shelling near the beginning of October.
