Well I told you boys we'd be demoing a sunflower.... But... Dad jumped the gun once he heard it wouldn't be in for a week and decided he wanted to try the new Landoll VT Plus sitting at the Deere dealer instead. Well I got the 9330 ready to go and brought her into town to join the two. First thing I noticed was how skinny it was folded up, very nice roading. Pulled her out to our first testing grounds and unfolded. I demoed a Case 330 last year and found it was alot easier to set then the Landoll. The case was lighter and built for easy setting. The Landoll is a heavy ol brute and very simply built. I was disappointed in how Landoll sold themselves short with them cheap disc blades.... Hold On Boys! Worked some "roundup ready" weeds on a few 80's north of the river. Started in on corn last night. Thanks, Trey

Guy up here has a Landoll like that. He was pulling it down the road and the hitch broke off and it flipped over in the ditch. Tore it up pretty good. He was a little pissed. Luckily they warrantied it.

Nice. I don't know too much about disks. We are going to start harvest next Sunday or Monday if the basins are dry enough.

Rumor is if you wait till next year Deere will have a "glorified disk" out on the market as well So is the landoll gonna be the next purchase or are you waiting on the sunflower demo?

I don't think he's thinking about buying it atall. Heck he didn't even run it... Dad did say he might take a deal on the Sunflower if they'll take a trade on a real "nice" Miller sprayer.. LOL We are mainly looking. We tried the Case last fall, Great Plains this spring, and now the Landoll. We'll end up with one sometime.... Trey

The experience I've had with the newer sunflowers is that they are a great disc but the bearings on the walking tandem are bad about going out. We've replaced all four of them on my bosses 36ft sunflower. And its only about a year and a half old.
Quite frankly that landoll looks exactly like a sunflower but painted a diffrent color.

Luckily they warrantied it. on our 30 foot frontier (made by rome) the leveling divice broke and the front of the disk whent into the road
