Back around Sept 10/11 I was able to take in the annual Threshing bee and antique tractor pull at the Sukanen Ship and Pioneer Village museum, just south of Moose Jaw Sk. As always a good turn out and a lot of fun. The museum grounds covered with sheds of vintage tractors/equip/stationary engines etc... and they put on an excellent show every year second weekend of Sept. If your ever in the area or want to take in an excellent weekend of revisiting prairie, pioneer life, I'd reccomend checking it out. Hear's their website, though it doesn't do justice to what's there..... www.sukanenmuseum.ca/
You won't find many old row crop tractors around these parts but it's always neat to see what comes out of the wood work...
Gotta love them old single cylinder Field Marshall's, one of my personal favorites.
These things were a tractor kit you could order and assemble with your own choice of power train. This one was powered by a Model A Ford engine.
I don't know if this is legit or not. I've never seen one but I have no reason to believe it's not legit. This was driving around with the matching auger in tow. Kind of a neat set up.

Some of you may remember this WD 9 from a post last year but I had to go back for some more pics and a visit with this guy. This is a Turbo'd WD9 as you can probably gather from the custom scoop on the hood. My connection to this rig is that I built the engine for him. He added a turbo (of unknown origin) and a "bigger" pump off a McCormick TD series crawler. The engine was a restored standard WD, but after talking to him that day he said he'd like to get me to do a Super WD for him next with the intention of adding more turbo.
He's still waitng for an appointment on the dyno. I can say this thing makes impressive power for being just thrown together..... and sound just plain cool.
