There's never an end to the work.... It's been busy around here, cleaning up, servicing and putting away equipment. We been cleaning seed as since the end of harvest and have been keeping the mill running the long hours. As a result we're finished cleaning flax and 2/3 done the durum and we haven't even had a snow yet!! (hardly ever happens). The plan is to get done the durum before the weather changes for the worst, it's always more of a pain to fight with cold and snowy equipment. We'll clean just enough lentils for ourselves in the spring.
We had to haul some of the durum up to the main yard from one of our south yards.
This old 22-36 McCormick-Deering is cleverly camoflaged in the trees. Don't even know there's a tractor there in the summer.
Sure glad we don't have to haul out of bins like this anymore. The word is that this was one of the biggest and most "modern" wood bin of its time in this district. Said to hold over 7000 bu and has a cement floor.............. still not gonna use it, NO WAY!

Grade 1, Certified AC Navigator durum ready for some lucky South Sask Viterra customer.
Oops............ This one doesn't fall on me, I came back from hauling in seed and found this. It takes a long time to fill a 750 bu cart with a 7" auger.... but not that long. Good thing it was just screenings. lol.
Friday afternoon the weather was beautiful and the breeze was just right for burning off some hay that the neighbor declined to cut this year for whatever reason. The big reason for burning was to prevent the long grass from catching snow and plugging up the road all winter long. Being that I farm the land and it happens to be the road that goes to my parents farm also provided a little insentive for playing with fire.
Got the 9370 and cultivator on standby.
That's looking better
Also happening on the farm has been some dealing on air drills. It's now official the deal is final on a new 58' CIH ATX400 drill (CIH badged Flexi-Coil 5000HD). The 3430 air cart will remain. Delivery date is supposed to be in Feb. I decided to split the cart and drill so I can put the cart in the quonset for the winter. Last time hooked up as a pair.
I kinda get a kick out of this pic. A bit mis-matched
As always, questions & comments welcome
