Well Dad and I made a trip down to Colorado for Christmas eve so I did some looking and figured we might as well make the trip worth it.. Ended up coming home with a '97 International 9400. It was one of the cleanest trucks we looked at, had been completely overhauled, new brakes, new recaps, and a pretty good deal. Our only turn off was that it has spokes on the rear but we decided we could live with that since we have them on 2 of our tandems already. What pushed us toward it was that it had an N-14 which is what we were mainly looking for. Should be a good addition for us. Currently looking for a 36-40' hopper.

Looks nice. One of our service trucks is a '97 9400. But it's got a detroit in it. Going to paint it? Hopefully I can make it there next year to see it. Ours originally had wagon wheels like that too. But we finally got them changed a couple years ago.

I kinda wanted to have it repainted because I'm not the biggest fan of sky blue lol, but the old man doesn't seem to mind it so I guess it's staying like it is.

Good that ugly sleeper came off and you guys should paint it maroon or black. What's ugly about International sleepers? I think they are nice. I don't think the truck even had a sleeper. Unless the guy climbed through the window hole, or the body shop did a hell of a job covering up the hole. But I don't know to much about that. We have never taken one off before.... So maybe there is a cab insert or something We just got rid of this one last spring Just my 2 cents. Dallas

Yea like I said they were our only turn off of the whole thing but it was too good of a deal to pass up otherwise. The dealer we bought it from said that if we ever wanted to he could find us a different rear end but he didn't suggest doing it now because of the new brakes and tires, which makes sense. They shouldn't be too bad, used to them anyways because we have two trucks with them already. The truck didn't ever have a sleeper on it. Trey - It has an 8LL in it, pretty decent tranny. I guess this is pretty good timing but found the trailer we will be pulling behind it today. 2006 38'6" Dakota. Air Ride, Ag hoppers.

Yea I would have liked to go 42' but we have some really sharp turns that go through a pasture to get to one of our pivots and there is no way we could have got through with a 42. This trailer is basically exactly what we wanted so I'm pretty happy with it.

Twotone - Northwest corner, like Dallas said near Chadron, little town called Hay Springs. No Rockies around here though, just sandhills lol, I think that is just a darker color of the clouds or something.
