I took a drive this afternoon 3/21/09 to see where the combines were rolling. The first pix are 2 miles south of Winger on hwy 59. Partially white from corn dust 2188. Test weight is light 46 to 50. Moisture varied from 17% to 23%. Poor pixs being I had to face the sun. . Leaving the edge because of deep snow. The next ones are 4 miles southeast of Winger. I didn’t talk to the guys. They have a lot to over being they didn’t harvest any last fall. 1688 CaseIH. Lots of hrs on that old girl. "] The first farmer’s sister cleaning the mud off the highway. Lots of traffic on hwy 59.

I think your pictures turned out good. Looks like a lot of corn your way. I would not want to be combining corn at this time of year.

Im just happy we got all our crop out last fall! Is it really wet up by winger? Our school called for volunteers to sandbag yesterday.

Nice pics. Boy our farmers need to take lessons. I have never seen one clean the highway off before. One guy made such a mess chopping silage that KDOT had to bring out a snow plow and scrape it off.
