What's this deal with HID's you talk about? Your boss must have a lot of trust with you picking out spec's and everything for a combine... Did you ever keep a fuel log with your 2577? What about the 5130? With our 8120/8230, we worked it out that they where worse on fuel. But... Steinbauer(or however you spell it) has a chip that they say reduces fuel consumption, and gives you more 20% power. I'd look into that Putsie.

that 2577 like i said our average days when we are running hard were 75-80 acres gauge was usually hanging around 1/4 tank when done you do the math since the 2577 only had a 180 gal tank the 5130 has a 250 gallon tank and we did 145 acres on half of a tank in the same conditions as last year so 1.6 gal per acre on the 2577 and 1.1 on the 5130 is what i figured

What kind of engine load where you running? And what was the 145? Soybeans?
