I have been tinkering on this one for a while and finally got it far enough along to post some pics. I changed the decals and tires and moved the ladder a bit to clear the narrow head when folded. I cut down a 12 row corn head into a 6 row. I still need to fill in some gaps and paint the head and cut down the grain head to a 20 foot head. Questions/comments welcomed.

Great job. I wanted to make one but never got around to buying another authentic. 6 row looks great on it.

I ordered the 5088 combine decals from bossen and then i just removed the numbers and put the new numbers in their place. I used non-acetone based nail polish remover and a cotton swab to carefully remove the old decals.

That is a great looking combine. I want to do the same thing also, but I want to try and keep the duals. How did you cut the corn head down?

Started with a 12 row and very carefully cut the end row snout off of each end. I then cut the head again on each side of center leaving only the five center snouts. I added a strip of styrene on the bottom of the head to tie it all back together as well as a piece of 1/16 brass rod under the auger to line things up. I am finishing up the 20 foot grain head now and hope to post pictures of it soon.
