This is one of those "do I put it on the shelf or throw it at the wall" kinda projects. Started out simple enough but, quickly turned sour after multiple failed paint attempts, lost parts, poor (wrong) decals.... yet I wound up giving up a bit and slammed it together to get back some much needed bench top. Not the prettiest thing I've ever built but, here it is regardless. I'll probably be trying another one again down the road, after the memories of this one have faded. The "cougar II" decals were too big which for some reason didn't even cross my mind to check until I was ready to put them on. Had to improvise on the fly, which being a Coop Imp piece played to my advantage a bit, being they are somewhat known for inconsistent decalling through the years. At least that's what I've read... works for me. Somewhere along the line the battery box disappeared for this thing too which given the trouble I had getting the orange to cover the green plastic, may have been a good thing. Needless to say I had to make one up last night and will paint it next available chance. 3 latest additions to the shelf. Makes for a pretty unique trio.

I've seen a few smaller coop tractors before, but I thought that coop actually built them? Is a "coop tractor" just a repower? Looks pretty good to me, at least you can get something done unlike me

Coop implements have always had their tractors supplied from another source. They never produced their own tractors. In the early days of CCIL tractors were re painted and decalled cockshutt's. After the cockshutt buy out by White Farm Equip in '62. Coop struck up deals with Volvo BM, Deutz, and Steiger through the years to supply the Coop implements tractors line.
