We started rolling middle of last week and I got down for 3 days on the weekend to run the drill. There is nothing like working a day job for 4 days then putting in 50 hours on the drill in 3 days. I am back at my day job for 5 days, then back to the farm for 4 and finish it off with 3 days at my day job... That's the plan anyway. Our drill is undersized for our operation so we compensate by running 24/7, I was up for the 6am shift on Friday. My shift change didn't make it out until 10:30pm that night... Saturday morning started with a move and a fill. Followed a few hours later... They make a 2.5" shaft now, this new to us cart has a 2"... We found out why they updated it. It didn't fall off or break but it did have a pretty good bend in it. Gotta love idiot steer.

thanks for sharing the pictures. I love seeing all the other things people raise and how they do it outside of northern Indiana.

The truck fleet grew last fall & the new water truck was set up and ready to roll this spring. This is a HUGE step up from the last one, meet "22". We were having so much trouble with the heavy residue from last fall so we tried seeding on a 5, 3, 15 degree angle on different fields but ended up going with 10. Meet the other new truck in the fleet "Lenny". Still with a sticker from his first life My winter wheat is up! We were dodging rain showers all weekend, Sunday morning I was almost shut down when the sun finally came out for the day. First couple passes on "H1" (aka Hills and rocks, hills and rocks...) The seeding support fleet: Orange, Lenny & Rusty A couple parting shots from the night shift
