This Journal takes place in July going into August. Due to lack of farming action this month. I will combine the journals into one. And get this month moved along.
Gilbert Dairy:
During this month work slowed down for the most part. However silage harvest will show up in August.
The Farmall 856 was out in the fields spraying the beans with Jason driving.
In the shop Keith and Richard repaired the Gleaner L2. It got a new swivel bearing. So it should be ready for fall harvest. Since the L2 and IH 815 is getting up there in age. And the fall harvest goes well. They are looking for a newer combine to use.
Wehunt Farm:
Their work slowed down as well.
The Moline M670 is on the sprayer. Thomas is working in the soybeans.
Pembroke Plantation:
Just like the other 2 farms. Their work slowed down as well.
Taylor is out with the Haggies spraying.
In the shop is Gabriel and Randy. They are working on the Steiger CA325. They fixed the mechanical issues and the leaks.
Since this is Gabriel's tractor to use. And really not part of the farm. He found a use for it. First installed a hydraulic PTO. So it can run carts if needed. Since it has large singles. This will come in handy to use it on carts in the shop. Where they can be tested. Next he mounted large tow hooks on the front and rear so it can pull things with a cable. If the need arises. He also mounted a place to keep a large cable as well so it will have that equipped and ready. Basically he made it into a shop tractor to fit his needs. And with it being a FWD with 325HP. It can pull most things on the farm as well. To use for backup.
