A Case is basically just a red NH anybody agree? this is something me and a buddy talked about. We believe this is true. who makes both brands, this will explain alot.

Ah no. They are two companies under the same parent cooperation, there are similarities but drastic differences between the two brands also. They have some similar parts (control levers for instance on our NH swather is the same part as on the 2388's but they are programmed differently) There are some things that are basically the same but painted different, air seeders for instance.
The guts of the combines are as different as they have ever been between NH and CIH.

No they're not designed the same at all. The combines are completely different. A CR has 2 rotors, and an AFX only has 1, that is a major difference right there. Choppers are different from NH to CIH, and along with the drives. If you have a flagship red combine (7230,8230,9320) there is almost no belts on them (Yes there is chopper and elevator drive belts, so no one calls me out on that). Look a yellow one, there is much more belt driven components. And the midrange Case combines are completely different again. I'm fairly sure there is no yellow combine to really compare them to. Yes, the cabs look the same, but all the controls are different again.
Doesn't NH have a front mount sprayer? And the Cases are rear mount... That's not similar designing at all...
Like he said, there the same company, but totally different. And it's owned by Fiat now if that was your question of who "makes" both brands.

Some things they do share a common platform. I know looking the the NH Powermaster and CIH Farmall series. The was both the same. Just a different color and hood. This was a few years ago when I was looking for tractors in the 50-70HP range at a farm show.
It all depends, some are the same some of it is different.
