Back to the same old grind in a new year

About 11 years ago now I ran one of these old 440b skidders for a couple years logging hardwoods in southern IA and always wanted to build one after seeing just how capable they are. I started with a ertl 4020 and a Atherns 1:87 John Deere 880 skidder to build this little guy. Now I just need decals and a ton of weathering to make it look like the one I ran.

Some things need more attention than a classroom full of 2 year olds drinking Red Bull.

Yep all in my head, Lol, but seriously I have a few reference pics that range from fresh rebuild to well abused and modified.

Skidders are very nice to use. I remember driving one around the woods before as a kid. However the driver was there with me. I know one farm uses an old skidder to pack silage in their bunker.
