Hey everyone!
I would like to start doing some work with cab glass but I'm not sure what to use. I'm not a fan of the packing tape idea, looking for something a bit more realistic looking. Thanks for any help and suggestions!

I've always used packing tape but some other members on the board use the clear plastic from packaging.

That actually doesn't look too bad! I've seen some that don't look great but I like yours.

The clear plastic is what I use. I used to cut it out of packaging but now I buy sheets made by plastruct. I think they are easier to cut and they will have less scratches vs the packaging. www3.omnimodels.com/cgi-bin/woi0001p?&I=PLSU7151&P=7Make sure that when you glue it in that you use glue that dries clear and doesn't leave smokey residue. A lot of super glues will do that.

Do you glue it in from the inside or the outside? I already glued the cab together before I decided I wanted to do glass. Do you have any pictures of tractors you have done with the plastruct? Here's the tractor I want to try:

What type of glue do you recommend for gluing it in?

What type of glue do you recommend for gluing it in? I used to use regular loctite glue in very conservative amounts, it likes to fog up though so I'd use some petroleum jelly to wipe away the fog. However, I found some stuff called Sinbad glue that has a very strong bond and dries pretty clear. Only downside is it slower than most super glues and costs about 3x as much haha.

I'm almost finished with the "glass" like Aaron said, patience is key! I used a window glue made by testors and it seems to be working very well. It doesn't leave any smoky look and it dries clear so if you use a little too much you can hardly tell! I will post pictures soon
