Well here is an old binder I found in the back of my neighbors shop. Its an old CCIL (Canadian Co-operative Implements Limited) later called Co-op Implements and then later called Cereal implements, parts binder from the dealership. Co-op Implements isn't going anymore. I think they finally died out in 1990 or 1991. I could go into the whole history of CCIL but I don't feel like typing a story right now haha. I know some of the Canadian boys from the prairie's might enjoy some of these old brochures from the late 80s'
.
In the late 80s and early 90s Our farm had this same chinook tank but hooked to a Morris cultivator and pulled by a black and white Case 4894. There were quite a few of these Chinook tanks in our area at one time. .
Co-op had a 42 foot swather in the 80s.
Pull Type Combines.

Good find to stumble across. Some interesting stuff there for sure. Don't remember and Chinook systems around, but there were tons of the swathers and 9600 combines around.

I enjoyed seeing those brochures! I hope that some time you DO feel like writing more on the history of CCIL, Coop, and Cereal implements. Something I have never seen here in Iowa, and knew nothing about until seeing posts about them here and on TTT. Looking at cylinder size, Would the 9600 combine have about the same capacity as a JD 6601?

The 9600 would have been comparible to the 6601 John Deere yes. The 9850 was supposed to be a bigger unit simular to a 7721 but not near the capacity of a 14/1682. I've only ever seen a couple of them, and never in action. Weren't that popular comparatively.
With a little searching you can find info about Coop history spread throughout TTT. I've built a few CCIL pieces over the last couple years and have contributed quite a bit of info over there about the company. Too bad their search feature is so bad. I too have thought of compiling a article(s) of sorts on the topic. Someday I will. It's my goal to be able to build (in 64th scale) the progression of the company's implements 1942-92.

Thanks for that info. I have seen some of the Coop implements built by various people posted on TTT. So I have picked up bits and pieces of their history from that. I have never had satisfactory results using the "search" feature on TTT either.
On an unrelated topic, I have often wondered what happened to the line of implements produced by Versatile when they were bought out by Ford/NH. Were the implements just dropped, sold off to other companies, or continued for a while by Ford/NH?

Were the implements just dropped, sold off to other companies, or continued for a while by Ford/NH? That's not as unrelated a topic as one might think the tillage side of Versatile (originally Noble) was continued on through Cereal Implements, taking on the two tone green paint and CI decaling. The final kick at the can for the entire Coop/Cereal line up was in 1992 when everything changed names again to New Noble and a dark green and yellow paint scheme went on everything. The combines were gone by that point. I have CI ads somewhere around here from the late 80's-early 90's showing the complete lineup including the Noble blade poles and drills that had previously been Noble/Versatile. A mix of New Noble and Versatile drills

You know you shouldn't have shown this now I have ideas for more stuff Putsie has to build me No kidding..... No doubt something simple like 14 of those mismatched drills linked up together. Problem with using a CI combine for a display farm is you need at least 5. 1 working and 4 parts machines in various states of dismantled.

Those are great old advertisements thanks for posting them putsie. And you couldn't of said it better about having CI combines on a display. It seems to take 5 to keep one running haha.

Thanks to both of you for some great pictures. Learned a lot about the implement line. Other than the paint scheme the drill does look like the Versatile 2200. Is the 2 tone paint scheme as hard to duplicate on a model as it looks like it would be?

Is the 2 tone paint scheme as hard to duplicate on a model as it looks like it would be? I haven't done a green CI piece yet, everything I've built is back from the orange era so far. That said I don't anticipate trouble with two tone paint aside from finding the right greens to match up. Looking at something like that drill. I'll built the frame, box, box lids, shanks/openers, etc all seperate. Paint, then assemble, and add decals. That's the way I've done any two tone in the past.

If anyone has access to one of those Chinook Pneumatic application tanks that is fairly high on the list of "random cool stuff I would like to maybe 3D print someday" :-)

Another thing to add to your list of "random cool stuff" would be a prasco super seeder. That would make a neat addition to a display or collection.
