My friend Mike put our alfalfa down today. He has a turbo for his 4020 so he can pull the swather better. He just needs to get it put on. It makes it smoke a little. Of course he is in 6th and 7th gear most of the time. Good thing it is a power shift. Here are some videos. I was following him with the 4 wheeler and he was running 10 and 11 miles an hour. The neighbor to the north was also working on alfalfa. He was raking and baling. They have an H&S rake. It was about a half mile from the road so you can't see it very well. He bales with a 568 and a 7830. I delivered his fuel. ;D Questions and comments welcome.

Man he sure does move right along with that MoCo. Would hate to see him try that in anything thicker at that speed.

Nah thats a norm for a discbine mower, they are designed to go fast like that, very good windrowers.

i can honestly say that i have never heard anyone pull a haybine at that speed It could go a lot faster with more power in front of it. That heavy hay is making the 4020's tongue hang out. ;D When I worked for my uncle I was mowing burnt up corn at 12 mph with the 7810 and moco. I would have handled it faster but I couldn't stay in the seat. ;D
