This week on Barrett Dairy we went into town to get some stuff, A newly wed couple moved in down the road on a farm, they raise 8 steers. ( I will go into detail later on their farm) All the tractors were on the farm when they bought it except for the 6230 2wd. Since they live on the same road as us I have driven past there alot and I have seen a rusty tractor on the back side of the pasture, so on they way back I seen shop lights on so I stopped in and asked about it, we went and looked and I looked close at it and it was a 1956 John Deere 70 Diesel, From the looks i looks like its been sitting for 30+ years. He was willing to sell it and I bought. I ran home got the gooseneck and came back and H pulled the 6230 out and I grabbed a chain from the truck. We got it out and loaded it on the trailer, I paid them and went home. (Even though I'm an IH guy I have a soft spot for 2cyl John deeres) I'l let the pictures talk.
