Real tree branch and green bush material in big bags Spray branch with spray adhesive. Twist in bag and it should stick. Make sure the base of the tree is flat. I drilled holes in the plywood and stuck the trees in it. Not the most detailed but it works on a tight budget. Hope it helps.

Did you soak them at all in matte medium like it says on the site, or is the spray adhesive good enough?

Nope, didn't soak them in anything. Just hit with spray adhesive and sprinkled it on.

but i'm cheap and don't live near a hobby store any really cheap way to make 4 to 5 trees Well I'd say that Ramman's idea is probably the most cost effective way. If you can find a substitute for the foliage that looks like leaves then I'd say you would have it made. EDIT: I do have an idea, but you'll have to wait until spring time. If you can find some small weeds with small vine-like leaves and stems, you may be able to cut those and glue them to the tree branch and then spray paint them green. You would need to find something that will dry out good or else it will rot and make a mess.
