The Redland Group of friends, and family have been looking for a decent 90hp tractor, for Brad, and Kristy's new 40 acre farm to supplement Kristy's Grandfather's Minne Mo they have. There was what appeared to be the perfect one out at an estate auction near Enid. What we found was an almost perfect on but we bought it anyhow because the price was right. It is a 986 IH, but it will need a little love, the engine runs good, but there is something going wrong in the trans. we can find neutral but that is about it.
So we used Chris's KW with the winch to get it on the bed, and bring it home.
We used Mel's toy truck to pull it into the shop.
Had James stop in, and look it over to see where we needed to start. the belief is we can still get it apart, and up, and running before the wedding in September. The real trick will be keeping Brad out of the new shop so it stays a surprise.
But as Paul Harvey would say now for the rest of the story, it wasn't the only tractor bought that day. Chris pickup what JW referred to as their first real Oklahoma size tractor.
It didn't take long for Chris to want to get some dirt on the tires. He went out, and prepped one of JW's fields for winter wheat.
Over at CRR, the boy's have been finishing up pasture hay, and hauling it back to the homestead, when the Professor, and Mrs. Johnson got home. The Boys were teasing the Professor what no new toys.
