We are in the heart of the corn harvest. The crew was doing a section close to the homestead, so everything was back in the yard for Sunday dinner. Jeff even made it with a fully restored WA-17 headed to Omaha. JW was out working under corn stubble when he had Katie bring him the fuel trailer, because the gauge quit working. Over at CRR, The Professor had been headed to Braums for lunch when he sees his wife headed to her Church group still driving her show truck. He call Mike, and asked what was the status of Mrs. Johnson's Truck. He said he would meet him at the farm, and talk to him about it, because he was working the river bottom field, and he could baring hear him on his cell. Mike said it was something more than the Cam senor, and where he figured he could fix it, it was going to be slow going with his class load this year. So The Professor called the Ford Dealer, and said he was having it hauled in, and he would be down after his wife gets home to kick some tires. When his wife got home he met her at the door, asking why she was still driving the Suburban, instead of Old Red. She said just because she can drive a stick doesn't mean she wants to. He smiled said that was fine, and lets take it for a driven. He didn't tell her the ride was to Bill Knight Ford. When they got home she was happy to show Mike, and Tommy her new car.
