I saw thru a link the other day a listing of equipment and a schematic of a grain bin setup of Johnson Farming and Trucking. It is on here somewhere and I can't find it.
Reason I'm asking is I used to farm on a fairly large scale and my buddy still farms on a small scale. He does hay and veggies. Anyway point being we were talking farming (lol what else?) and I brought the point up, How Big can a farm get?
I live in Lancaster PA and see everything from Amish farms to Many thousands of acres and huge dairy, chicken and hog setups.
Any info, help or ideas will be appreciated. Been doing research for a while now and may actually do a paper on the subject.
Thanks in advance.

In the past year, I have discovered MCM Farms out of North Dakota. Ron McMartin's goal was a 50,000 acre farm. Gerringhoff's website lists a back issue of their quarterly sales magazine with him in one of their articles. Johnson Harvesting has an issue too.

I have a book coming about the Pabst Farm of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In its day, late 1800's, it operated over 1500 acres.
I've also discovered the King Ranch. It's not just a luxury Ford truck, but a HUGE part of Texas history.
Yes, I also find large farm operations interesting.

50,000 acres! I am trying to double that with my next layout Corey! LOL MY biggest problem is manpower, I would need like 100 seasonal employees. O and NH3 toolbars of course!!

You might research Australian farms. I hear they're some of the biggest out there....
