We were unloading bean stalks this fall with our 3010 when it started to run rough, and would then stall and would not start back up. So I did some checking and replaced all of the wires connecting to the starter as they were in pretty rough shape. We tried it again and it started really good but would still stall out so next I replaced the distributor cap, needles and points, and a new set of spark plugs. Still it would not run smooth. It would idle with an occasional miss but as soon as you gave it throttle it starts spitting and popping and then stalls. So I replaced the fuel filter and with no luck decided to replace the carburetor. With that all done the tractor still will not idle smooth or let you give it throttle. I'm unsure what to try next ?? Any help is appreciated. Thank You

So I don't know if this helps or not but I rebuilt a JD 110 and it would do the same. For it all it required was some tinkering with the throttle body and cable. Whether this helps or not I don't know.....

Check your timing. It may have jumped a couple teeth on the gear. Our farmall M was doing almost the same thing and that's what it turned out to be.
