Well May was either bang or bust for us. It rained about every 5 or so days which made it a nightmare to get things done. Temps have been unusually low for this time of year. We've only had about a weeks worth of 85 and only 3 above 90. Which is nice for workin but not worth a darn to dry out ground and hay. But on the up side things got done, all the planting got done the last week of May, there were some 30hr days but we're on the slow down untill wheat harvest.
We send a couple of combines south for the wheat run. This year we're going to run with Minkler farms machines, making it a 4 machine crew. We decided to send the case's this year since there the lower hour machines, and have the 45 ft heads. We havent been hearing good reports on the acres to cut in TX and OK, I hope they find enough work to justify the trip. So as soon as all the cows got to grass we set in on getting the two combines ready. We'll do the rest when we get alittle more time on our hands.
all loaded and headin out.

we put the cat on grain cart duty
hopefully between Minkler and us we'll have enough trucks.
heads and tool trailer
Hopefully they'll be back in time for our wheat, if it ever gets hot enough to turn it. We finally got all the alfalfa up, only took forever with all the rain. The tons were good but Im afraid the quality isnt what we were hopeing for.
the balein crew fuelin up while waiting for dew to go off.
We also swathed about 500 acres for some customers, then we moved on to the oats, but they should only take a few days.
Well thats all for now, things keep spinnin. ?s and comments always welcome. Thanks for lookin, Dustin.
