Grandpa and Grandma don't really farm much anymore. They grow a large "garden" for a roadside stand but other than that the farm is rented out between a son/grandson and a larger neighbor. The barn that once held registered Holstein cows now sits empty besides years of manure, some lumber, old bales, and the occasional raccoon or opossum. We were thinking about putting some beef cattle in the barn since we're there every day either doing field work or checking on grandpa and grandma, so we decided to clean out the barn.
We also took 1st crop hay off this weekend with temperatures in the 90's it was nice and dry. The 1170 is the main workhorse of the farm, but it'd sure be nice to get something more comfortable and with better AC for those hot days.
We also got the "fleet" out to wax and polish up for a local Father's Day car/truck show next weekend.
