The guys were working in the shop, when the tones on the fire pagers went off reporting smoke coming for the rear of the Auction Sale Barn. With multiple 911 calls. So out the door everyone headed for the station. The next work for dispatch was off duty firefighter on scene reporting one semi tractor at the back of the building well involved (just so happened Dawn was working on the cell tower, and walked down to the fire). Eddie, and Cole of the Auction serviced worked hard to get all the steers out of the trailer before they were over come.
The guys got an engine, a squad, and an ambulance on the air, Chief 2 called for mutual aid from Payne County. As well as a tow truck, and the tower to be the next truck enroute in case it spread to the building.
The Squad made the initial attack with it's bumper turret, while the Engine laid a line, Dawn was madder than a wet hen being there without any firegear she got pimped with the pumping duties.
Upon Payne County's arrival they set a second line, and the Deputy Chief aided the Police Lieutenant with questioning the truck driver on what happened.
By the time JW, and Kevin got their with the Tower the fire was under control.
Over at CRR Everyone else is still on vacation, Mike and he is running the farm he was out feeding cows, when the tones went off, he ran to the house, by the time he got to his truck Chief was calling for a tow truck so instead of responding to the station he went direct with his work, with the semi still smoldering Chief had him pull it away from the building just to be on the safe side.
Down on the Dairy, the guys were setting up the new silage dump table, when they heard what sounded like a bad bearing, so Larry had Seitz's out to take a look at it.
