took this pic yesterday while putting up signs at work for the co-op. Looks to me like a Steiger Panther III and my boss said the other is an old Versatile. I didnt notice the exhausts until i downloaded the pic. very interesting to me. pic taken in Northeast Indiana around Zanesville. We have quite a few steigers up here. ill try to get some more pics.

Thats no versatile. It's an AC 440. It has a V8 cummins 903 in it so thats why its got 2 mufflers. He probably got sick of looking at them so he moved them. I couldnt help thinking, but that would make that already hot noisy cab even hotter and louder.

I agree, that is not a Versatile. It definently has a Steiger cab. Installing mufflers on top of the cab is a interesting move to make.

jacob, thats exactly what i thought except two things: never seen one with a black cab, and the allis logo isnt in the center like all the ones ive seen. although now that i look at it i see that the engine side shields are the same design. must be an older version.
