Hey,
Here is whats been happening on the farm since march.
Here is a picture of the farm yard that is quite cluttered with the tractors ready to get to the fields.
Spring plowing. John Deere 8650 with the 3710 8btm workin hard. Jordan is driving the 8650 today
the old IH 4366 is helping plow with the older 3600 5btm plow. Chris Foohey is on that machine even though he hates it.
I am in the 9630 with the 2700 working away on some old corn stubble
Mitch is on the 7720 helping out with the 4btm IH which is almost never used, but when we are behind then we need everything we can get
Finally we are done Chisel plowing and moldboard plowing. here we find uncle unhooking all the plows from the tractors
7830 with the 5btm 3600
4366 with the lead 5btm 3600
and finally the 8650 with the 8btm 3710
The big 4wds hooked onto the 2 WR field cultivators
the 4366 hooked up to the dunham lehr packer to go over soon to be soybean ground
the 7830 with the loader on, and the stone picker
the 7720 pulls the 7200 12r30 planter out from the shed
foohey is in the 7830 getting a head start on picking stones
Here comes Jordan in the 4366 done packing the field next to this one
dad shows up with the truck just as jordan pulls out
jordan on the road
Here i come with the 9630 and the WR FC. I had mitch fill his FC up before dad brought the truck down so mitch could get some of the smaller fields done without having to refill.
pulling in
unfolding. i LOVE this new FC.
filling up.
and away we go! this 9630 pulls this WR pretty well. the 8870 could pull it, but it is better with a bigger tractor.
Foohey leaves on the truck
and on his way back he brings the 7720 and the 7200 12r30 planter with him.
Foohey takes the 7830 back to the farm to fill up with fuel then hes off to the 127 acre field out to the east.
I get done working this field and head off back to the farm to refuel and see if i can catch foohey off to the east
raise it up
folding and go!
Dad brought the truck back down with switched over inoculants and his pickup and hes ready to plant. Uncle is out to the west with the 9100 and 16r30 1770NT and hes got the GMC 6000 tending him.
unfolded and ready to plant
corn is going in!
turning on the headland
heading on down the head land
one more pass on the headlands. looks awesome with both markers folded up.
dad finished at about 10:30 that night and took his pickup home.
We got done planting soybeans just a few weeks ago. now, we are focused on getting the corn sprayed, as well as the wheat. here are a few pictures of that. the 7720 is our sprayer tractor, and its paired with the century saddle tanks and a Hardi 350 MEGA sprayer with 45ft booms.
inspecting the corn we planted just a few months ago as i drive by
at my destination, and folding out the booms
and were off!
