Well the display is NOWHERE near done but i wanted to show the progress ive made this summer. I still have 2 buildings to build for the shop part of the farm. all buildings were built by me and still need some work. They’re not perfect but im ok with them. I have a long way to go and i know it probably doesnt look like much but I feel that this will be my best display so far. i have a lot of neat ideas. Let me know what you think so far.
Well, here in Central Indiana it’s been a very wet spring. We just finished beans a little over a week ago. Here is pic from when we were still drilling Uncle Jeff filling up the 4430 to drill some beans. Uncle Kevin is hookin the Versatile 846 back up to the chisel plow. Dad is gonna run the 4960 on the disk. Im getting ready to go hook the 4020 to the cultipacker to bust up some clods. Grandpa is gonna bring the 24' gooseneck that we just got in from the dealer in town, Moores Farm Equipment, with the pallets of beans on it. It is going to be the sprayer trailer and haul tractors to shows. He'll drop the trailer becuase he has a doctor's appointment today. Mom is gonna take the mower and cut some grass because we can’t stay up on it. Katie is gonna work on 4H stuff and work the calves.
Uncle Randy came over to haul some of our June contract corn in to Kokomo Grain. There wasn’t a whole lot in those bins because those are where we get the corn for the cattle feed out of. Our W-900 daycab is getting some work done up in Indianapolis and we were really busy so it worked out great that Randy came over with the 379.
We are gonna start putting on NH3 here soon and spraying at the same time. We’re also looking into getting another tractor. We will also be pulling the 9650 into get ready for wheat harvest and straw baling. Soon after that it will be fair time. We’re taking 3 calves this year. Two steers and a heifer.
Here are some overview pictures of the shop and barns.
