Well today we finally had a guy from Crawford Nebraska come and look at the combine. We had it all cleaned up and sitting in front of the shop for him. He was very pleased with it, he thought it was a very excellent clean combine. He had just been layed off his job so he is starting to farm with his dad, and was hoping to get a few custom acres combined to. He told us his dad had an L so these Gleaners weren't unfamiliar to him. He thought about it and thought about it, dad threw in some parts and knocked a couple hundred off and he said ok. We didn't get what we thought it was worth but we were basically desperate to get rid of it before wheat harvest so he got a bargain. He only wanted the wheat head so now we still own a 6 row L/M head but im sure we can get rid of it. He is coming and getting it sometime this week, ill hate to see the old girl go, we have owned it for 27 years, i learned how to run a combine in it, my first ride was in it, i spent alot of hours in it with my dad in the summer, but it was getting too old for us, and we have a good replacement.
