Start of wheat harvest!

Finally got started with wheat today! It was testing around 11, and weighing 62-63, but i was still having to go around the green spots and kind of search for ripe wheat. We didn't think we would be able to combine any until tomorrow but got a few acres cut this afternoon. I was impressed with the R62, very good capacity, and very good clean sample, quite a step up from the L2 and even the R52. We only used the R62 today because the R52 is still up at our other farm 20 miles away, tomorrow dad is going to go get it before we get rolling. Well here are the pics.(They aren't the best because i just kind of took them quick, hard to take them while combining) More to come soon!

Thanks guys. The R62 is running like a dream. Today we had perfect harvest conditions and i was running 4-5 mph in 35-50 bushel wheat.

A little update on harvest, we are a little over half done and it is in full swing. There are i think 5 crews in town right now, and what is really cool is 3 of them are running gleaners. Today and yesterday we were combining by the highway and i probably saw 20+ crews go by, of every color shape and size, even met danielski's on the gravel road a few miles from our place because they are cutting irrigated wheat for a huge farmer here. I think they just roaded there combines the whole way since we are only an hour from their hometown. I have got tons of pics and a few video's but haven't had time to upload them yet since i just got home from the field a bit ago. Well thats all for now.

how many acers do you have to cut this year. what are yeilds looking like, down in my part of ontario I have not heard of a field go less than 95.
