Well right now im sitting here at the computer while we still have 175 acres of wheat left to cut because of rain... We got rained out on Monday and it has rained every night since, stopping anyone from getting in the field. We needed the rain but it came with terrible timing, im guessing harvest is probably 75-85% done here, and it probably would have been pretty well wrapped up by friday if the rain hadn't come, now we are questioning whether we will be done by the 5th because the forecast is rain rain rain...
Well ive taken ALOT of pictures and a couple videos, so ill post some stuff for you guys to look at. (Like ive said before, these aren't the best because they are a bit hard to take while combining lol)
Waiting to pick dad up.
Dad got to run the R62 for about half an hour one day then i took it back lol.
Neighbors R72.
Another neighbors 1440 in bottom left corner....
Stopped at the house to get lunch before hitting the fields.
When i was roadin the R52 up to our other place which is 20 miles away, i met Danielski's roading 3 combines, a pickup and header trailer, and a graincart coming to cut some irrigated wheat about 5 miles from my house. I think they must have just roaded them from their headquarters which is only about an hour away from here. Luckily i saw them coming and pulled over in a driveway to let them go by my 24ft head.
The Crew.
Unloadin on the go.
The R52 cant stay ahead of the R62.
Loaded, that cart is too small!
This is by far my favorite picture, and i think its my best picture.
The crew all except for me
Had to take the header off the R62 to go down the highway and get into a gate at our next field, i think the ranger is loaded lol.
Roadin
Saw this crew sitting in town, i could not believe my eyes when i saw them, an 8820 and a N6 from oklahoma!
A couple pics from the truck.
Well thats pretty much it, i hope you enjoyed them as much as i have enjoyed the harvest. This has probably been one of the best harvest's for me with the new R62, it has been a very good replacement and we never had any break downs on anything which just goes to show the durability of these machines. Thought i would throw in that one day my friend who runs a crew of a 9660 and 9670 and lives just down the road from us were combining next to us one day and while he was waiting on trucks came and rode a few rounds with me, his first time in a gleaner R and he was very impressed, he couldn't believe how clean our sample was compared to theirs.
