Wheat displays?

What have you guys found to be the best looking stuff for fully grown, ready to harvest wheat? I've seen the carpet method, but I've been away from displays and stuff for a couple months and have no clue what to use... Thanks!

I made a small model field of wheat ready to harvest. What I used was some sisal type twine (I found a small amount at Home Depot), I would cut about a thumb width off, untwist it and glued it to the styrofoam base. I used craft type glue. I would lay down a bead of glue to place the untwisted twine into it. Let this dry overnight. I then painted it with some bright yellow craft type paint. For the harvested area, I gobbed on some paint and finely chopped up some twine and mixed and spreaded it over the area. Here are some pictures of it. Usually I have just 2 combines, a grain cart and semi on it, but I went a bit wild and set up my Case IH combines on it. Shown are a 7088, AFX 8010, 7010, and 9120. The tractor is a New Holland TG 285 with a J & M grain cart.

Thanks. This process also works pretty good to make road ditch grass or fence line grass. You can paint it differently to represent different types of grasses.

It is pretty pricey but looks pretty good. I just cut it to the size I need and set it on top of a piece of woodland scenics grass mat with some golden grass flock laided over it to simulate the stubble. A few pics are below. This is my smaller field on the display. I still need to make a wheat field for the big field which is about 18" wide by 12' long.
