Hey guys, on my display should I have a pull type or self proppeled forage chopper??? If S.P. I want to build a Krone...... what do you guys think??

How big is your dairy? there are quite a few factors in this question. need more info to determine

like Justin said theres alot of factors. My thinkin is if you chop more than 200 a year or so a older self propelled would work, less than that a big pt would probably work. To justify a v8 or v12 krone I would think you would want at least to chop 800-1000acs a year. Of course the time factor throws another monkey wrench in to the mix. Idk, it takes alot of acs to justify a half million dollar chopper. But heck its your display and you dont need to justify it to anyone else in my opinion, just as long as your happy. On a side note, I would love to see someone do a Krone.

I decided to do dairy but Im not sure how big exactly yet, thinkin maybe round 400-500.

im with the rest of u guys but i would realy love to see sum body do a krone sp chopper i got to c one cut sum corn the other day it was aewsome

I will be scratch building it. I have the UH 1/32 scale one so I can get a pretty good image of the size to make parts and everything......I have only got to see one in real life and it was on a truck, it was HUGE!

Id say for 400-500 head either a big P.T. or a smaller S.P.
