Hey all,
Just thought Id share a couple pics of some newly completed, or very nearly completed projects. I picked up three ford L9000 trucks made by winross to use for tandem grain trucks to represent the Ford trucks used by the other half of our family in Kansas who would come to Colorado to help us harvest wheat. They ran two Ford trucks and usually brought two combines as well. Their crew also included a service truck and I have added another Ford semi to their fleet. They look pretty good together I think. The tandems feature working beds and are on modified winross frames. The semi is on a DCP Volvo frame and looks really sharp with the grey hopper bottom.
These trailers are by-products of the winross trucks above. Each of them came with van trailers that I took apart and turned into 40ft flat beds with wood decks. They have custom made tail light decals. The yellow one has a DCP landing gear on it, the red one has a scratch built one and the blue one has the original winross landing gear. These are pretty sharp for what they are and have a groove down each side that would lend themselves nicely to be further developed into a different type of trailer perhaps a stake side or something like that
