well its tords the end of the season hear in North east PA so things are winding down we got the hayin all done some of it made 5 cuttings that was great seing how it rained all summer long the corn harvest was a fast one with 2 pull choppers and a JD SP chopper we added 2 of the new H&S waggons to speed things up i think we may add at least 2 more of the bigger waggons to add to our 8 single axel waggons they are getting kinda old to begin with well ears some pics of us doin some combining corn for us and custom harvisting
theirs all of the bines lined up reddy to go
they are a gleener r-65 with a 6 row a JD 7200 with a 6 row a 2188 with dules and a 6 row
this pic has the 94 1666 with 8 row head we bought it at a auction over the spring and we gotta good deal on it next is the 2388
the next is the 7010 we just added this combine about a month ago so we were excited to use it then in line is the 8010 we have had this machine since the spring as our case IH dealer gave us a good deal on it and we needed to replace our old 915 IH we kept the old 915 as a back up and still do use it for custom harvisting if its a small job the last one is our JD 9730 this is a 03 model and we wantta get a new one in the next year to replace this one
hears our trucks lined up to go first is a 08 ford f-800 with a dump truck on it next is the 88 KW puling one of our goose neck dump trailors then is our B-58 mack with the other dump trailor then is the 94 eagel pulling 1 of our 3 bottem dumps then is the 99 IH cabover and then the 91 peat
hears our grain carts hook up the first ones the case 2470 then we have the Fw-60 on the J&M then we have the 1500 massey TF edition on the 500 JD cart then we have a homade cart that we took the front off a stx 300 and made it so we could put a few diffrent bodies on it
hear we are dumping to go back and make hi moister corn to feed our 100 cow milkin herd we have 100 cows in the barn 25 dry cows and about 35 head of beef cattel we have on the farm
hear is a shot of oue of our 5 sheds we have for our tractors
theirs 3 more ya can see
theirs us grinding and blowing hi moister corn in our 100 foot silo sorry for the poor quality pic in the background ya can see our 102 cow free stall barn thats in progress of being compleated
we have some time to spred some slurry on the all the gound seing the hay is done and we have some empty corn fields so i sent a crew of 3 to spred hear they are getting started
we got a dilivery today we had our guy go to haul some older equipment to a sale out west and he brought back a 1086 and a MX 135 this 1086 makes 3 of them we run on the farm
over the summer we aquired a 1270 case with a bucket on it we took the old one off and fitted it with a quick tach bucket we have 5 skidsteers and 1 other tractor with a bucket on it full time so we figured we could put a quick tach on this one in case we need it the shed ya see in the back ground is our TMR shed we keep the 2 hydro 1066s in their one on the mixer the other is on our round bale chopper we also store the bobcat ya can see in their as well as the 2 grinders and the 2 bloweres we use
this is our newst bisness venture well kinda we started maxig feed for some local farmers about 10 yrs ago thats why we have 2 grinder mixers and then we added some used bins on the farm about 7 yrs ago but about 3 yrs ago we bough a piece of land not far from the farm that had a old mill on it we bought the land fixed up the old mill and boughe some new grain bins and a new grain leg so we could make it more prifitable the old bins were so bad that it wasnt even worth fixing them we just scrpaed them we run 4 feed trucks hear and 2 of them have pup trailors its becomming a great investment plus we can keep our feed bill lower for our farm
in additon to the farm and truckin and feed sales we aquired a JD dealership about 6 yrs ago it wasnt a verry proffitable decision but we sell some things their we mostley do maitnence on thngs as well as all of our big jobs for the farm and we work on trucks their it helped out the dealership now that we dont sell baged feed by the bag at our mill so the dealership sells it by the bag so since we started that its been helping everyone out
oh i took some pics of the neibord place he has about 20 or 20 angus cattle and sells about 30 to 50 hogs a year i do some custom work for him and he drive my rigs part time /works at the dealership theirs his 2 pig barns and some of his equipment that black peat is oun of ours he was hauling some equipment for us that day theirs his equipment shed his pride n joy the 1950 chevy flat bed he uses that to take his antique tractors to shows and pulls hes gota bout 15 tractors he uses and collects the old one
well thats all for now guestions and comments welcomed
