Here are some pics of my Chrome 1066 that I picked up an a auction a couple of years ago. I saw it sittin on the table and almost had a heart attack!!! I have been wanting one of these for a LOOOOONG time. I bid on it and got it for 45 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best deal of my collecting "career" and I will NEVER give this tractor up. At first I thought it was one of the original 36 tractors but after further review I saw that it was owned by Chuck Burkholder. I am good friends with him and talked to him about it. I noticed the top was smashed in and he told me that it was a prototype for the original 36 and Ertl smashed in the top so it couldnt be sold to the general public. Well I got one!!!!! These pics are from right after I got it, I have recently put the rear tire on the right way and put a new cab top on it. It looks really good now. I will post pics of the new version when I get it done. I love this tractor and will never part with it. lol. I left the chrome stack on it because I feel that I needed a reminder of the Prototype.
